The Famous Five

When Julian, Dick and Anne arrive in Dorset to spend the summer with their cousin George and her dog Timmy, they find themselves embarking on the most exciting adventure of their lives. Together they travel to a mysterious island, hunt for a powerful treasure, and discover the secrets of the Knights Templar.

George and her cousins must escape from the crypt, recover the sword of Sir William Marshal, and work out where the treasure is before the nefarious Thomas Wentworth gets his hands on it. But to do this, George will have to learn to trust her cousins – to share and collaborate – something she’s never had to do before.

While Quentin is busy working on his new invention, the Famous Five are having a miserable time cooped up inside with disagreeable tutor Mr Roland. But when thieves infiltrate Kirrin Cottage and the children catch Mr Roland in the act, the summer suddenly becomes much more interesting: multiple parties have taken an interest in Quentin’s device.
