Billy Joel: And So It Goes

The son of working-class parents on Long Island, Billy Joel's love affair and first marriage to Elizabeth Weber fuel such early hits as "Just the Way You Are" and "She's Always a Woman". After moving to LA and penning "Piano Man", Joel's career takes off, but his personal struggles and a near-fatal motorcycle accident leave his future unclear.

Joel recounts his complicated reunion with his absent father, which he distilled into the philosophical ballad "Vienna". After years on the road, Joel meets his future wife, Christie Brinkley, who inspires the hit "Uptown Girl". Dedicated to his craft but uneasy with fame, Joel perseveres through numerous setbacks, choosing to reinvent himself time and time again.
